Tropical Citrus Punch - A Bright, Refreshing Party Drink

Prep Time 10 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings: 8 servings

Ingredients

  • Fresh oranges (for juice) or quality orange juice
  • Pineapple juice (100% juice, not from concentrate if possible)
  • Passion fruit juice or puree (unsweetened preferred)
  • Limes (for fresh lime juice)
  • Lemon (optional, for added brightness)
  • Ginger syrup or ginger beer (see variations)
  • Simple syrup or honey (to taste)
  • Sparkling water or lemon-lime soda (for a sweeter, fizzier finish)
  • Fresh mint (for garnish)
  • Ice (cubes and optional crushed ice)
  • Fresh fruit slices (orange, lime, pineapple, or passion fruit seeds for garnish)

Method

  1. Juice the citrus: Squeeze the oranges and limes. Aim for about 2 cups orange juice and 1/2 cup fresh lime juice. If using lemon, add 2–3 tablespoons.
  2. Build the base: In a large pitcher, combine orange juice, pineapple juice (2 cups), passion fruit juice or puree (3/4 to 1 cup), and the fresh lime juice.
  3. Sweeten and spice: Stir in 2 to 3 tablespoons ginger syrup. Taste. Add simple syrup or honey, 1 tablespoon at a time, until it’s balanced. You want bright and juicy, not sugary.
  4. Chill thoroughly: Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Cold punch holds its flavor better and feels crisper.
  5. Add garnish: Before serving, add orange and lime slices, a few pineapple chunks, and a handful of fresh mint. Gently muddle the mint with a spoon in the pitcher to release aroma.
  6. Add bubbles just before serving: Pour in 2 to 3 cups of sparkling water (or lemon-lime soda for extra sweetness). Stir once to combine without losing too much fizz.
  7. Serve over ice: Fill glasses with ice, then pour the punch. Top with an extra sprig of mint and a citrus wheel. Enjoy immediately while it’s fresh and fizzy.
